Fall Family Photos from Dan Howard Photography.

Fall family photos are some of the warmest and most welcoming family photos that can ever be taken. The colours of the season combined with the lower late afternoon sun is, for me, one of the greatest combinations in family photography.

I had the honour of photographing this awesome and fantastically cute family out at their home right in the middle of 50 acres of corn fields and woodland.

I have to admit, I’m loving the low lying sun out here in the midwest. The occasional flare from the sun, the way that it lights up fair hair and the semi-soft, drawn out shadows really help give these shots a late-summer/early autumn feel.

As you’re all probably aware I like to make things unique for everyone I shoot; there is always something there although it’s not immediately obvious. On this shoot I had some help from the two young girls. They spent most of the shoot playing and pulling apart corn husks. That lead to this great shot; one of my favourites from the shoot.
